GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK, USA. THE FEELING OF NATURE
In this vast cleft in the earth's crust are 2000 million years of geological time. This seems jarring to the human brain.
With flaming sunsets, waves of fog and dust of snow, the Grand Canyon, with a depth of more than
1 km and about 360 km long, is the cathedral of nature, and not just the US.
It is a place that makes one feel small and yet massive, awe yet quiet, poetic but unable to speak ... As the explorer John Wesley Powell said: "The wonders of the Grand Canyon can not be adequately represented by symbols of language even for the same language. "
But worth a try. You should go hiking, cross the Colorado River Wild, see condors, black bears and moose or simply marvel.
INTEREST Visitors usually enter the canyon from the south end, about 120 km north of Flagstaff, Arizona. The northern end is more isolated and have less infrastructure.
